About The Church

We thought you might like to know…

As a visitor to The Body of Christ Church International, U.S.A., you might be interested in knowing who we are and how we conduct our services. The Body of Christ Church International, U.S.A. is one church – in two locations (College Park, Georgia and Alpharetta, Georgia), and is often referred to as a “Charismatic” or “Interdenominational” Church. The term “Charismatic” refers to our belief that Jesus Christ is the same today as He always has been and that by the Holy Spirit, He is still moving in the earth to save people and to manifest Himself through the gifts of the Spirit. The term “Interdenominational” means that we are comprised of people from a wide variety of backgrounds.

The church’s message was carried to the public via evangelism and radio broadcast. It grew and in October of 1982, relocated to a facility in East Point, Georgia. A Friday evening Bible Study was added along with a Sunday morning service. The church dedicated its new facility in June of 1983 and, shortly thereafter, instituted New Members Classes and developed a number of Inreach Ministries.

In the summer of 1985, the church obtained new office facilities in a progressive office park in College Park, Georgia. In the same year, the church purchased prime acreage for a future church site in College Park.

In the meantime, the church continued to grow. Not able to accommodate those who desired to attend Sunday morning services, it added a 10:30 a.m. service to its 8:00 a.m. service. Despite this addition, the church was compelled to move to larger facilities in Fayetteville, Georgia in 1987. The new facility allowed space for more classrooms, for a new bookstore, for Nursery facilities and for other church purposes.

This high rate of growth continued. In 1991, a weekly Tuesday morning Bible Study Service was added. After purchasing additional acreage, the church broke ground to begin construction on its 83-acre campus site in March of 1996. On May 26, 2002, the church occupied Phase I of its new site, consisting of a new Family Life Center, at its current location, 3650 Flat Shoals Road in College Park, Georgia. With the new location came a new name, The Body of Christ Church International, U.S.A.

The Family Life Center will temporarily house the worship services until the completion of Phase II, a Grand Sanctuary. Phase III will accomplish a comprehensive Christian Education Campus providing educational opportunities from pre-school through college prep.

The “LIVING IN VICTORY” television program is broadcast can be seen locally and Streaming Live on the Internet.

In our congregation, there are people from dozens of different religious backgrounds, as well as those who previously have had no religious training or affiliation at all. We are not an “exclusive group” who think we are the only true Christians, but we gladly acknowledge as fellow members of the Body of Christ, all people who confess Jesus as their Lord.
